Is it safe to book on your website?
It is totally safe to book on my website. You can check my over 2000 reviews on Airbnb, or checkout my facebook and social profile. Me and my company have a solid reputation that you can easily verify in many ways. Plus you can always drop a message or call me before booking!
What methods of payment accepted?
You can pay by card or paypal. Once you reserve the dates by paying the 10% down payment, you can pay the rest any time by card or paypal and even in cash at arrival.
Are there any extra costs?
You will see the final price of the accommodation and I won’t require any extra for my services. Notice though that:
1. The government wants taxes from travelers. And I have to collect those. Taxes will depend on your situation and destination. In Rome they are €3.50 per person per night for a maximum of 10 nights (€35 each) and children under 10 don’t pay.
2. A security deposit will be pre-authorized on your card. This means that you will not be charged any money, but a sum will be pre-authorized on your card in case of damages. After checkout my house managers will verify the property and compare the pictures taken before your arrival to avoid any mistake. If a serious damage is caused during your stay or items are missing I will have to charge your deposit :(. That’s why I ask you to be careful when you are in my house, and to let me know immediately if you do break something. More time I have to address the situation easier it is to find a cheap solution. If I have to fix everything in 2 hours between your departure and the next person arrival I will have to go for the faster option giving up on the cheaper!
Can I use more than one payment method to pay for a reservation?
Yes, you can. You ca pay the down payment with card or paypal. You can pay the rest also in cash.
What will I find in the house and what do I have to buy or bring?
You will find:
- Bedding for all beds
- One large shower towel and one smaller hand towel for each guest
- One shower carpet per bathroom
- One kitchen towel
- Toiletries (single use shampoo bottles for each person, soap for each guest, single use dish washer or washing machine tabs)
- One roll of toilet paper for each guest
- Kitchenware
- Cleaning props
Extra linen changes are not included in the booking price. Just request it a couple of days in advance and you will find it in the house at arrival. I won’t be able to arrange extra deliveries afterwords.
Extra soap/shampoo etc. is not included in the price.
Questions on the Bookings
Why do you require a 10% down payment?
A holiday house is not like a Hotel. I have only one home, not hundreds of rooms. If you reserve it and then cancel at the last moment I will loose an entire chunk of my monthly revenue, with no chance to get it back.
By requesting a little payment I can select only the travelers who really want to come to my city and I avoid blocking the dates without a real commitment on the other side.
Moreover you won’t believe how many fake bookings are made with the sole intent to show some office that the booker has an accommodation in a place or some other strange reason. Totally unconnected with traveling. These reservations end up in no-shows.
A little down payment prevents this situation and keeps all the houses available for real travelers like you!
Is the down payment refundable?
It depends.
The down payment is refundable in case you can’t travel for major force. This means that if no one can actually travel during those dates. A perfect example is the Coronavirus breakthrough.
In this case you will be fully refunded except for a €20 processing fee that will cover credit card fees and the office time spent for your reservation by my staff.
In any other case the down payment is not refundable.
For example, if you can’t travel for a reason that is valid only for your personal situation (change of plans at your office place, you loose your airplane, you can’t leave town ecc.) you will loose the 10% down payment.
One Exception:
You may cancel for free within 24hrs from booking. If you have not paid yet you will not have to. If you paid you will still have to pay the €20 processing fee as the credit card company will want their % and my staff has already been working.
Why do I have to pay a security deposit?
Because my houses are always fully equipped and fixed. Many people visit my houses every year and if a few of them ruin the appliances, the equipment or the house itself you will get a lower quality property. The security deposit reminds everybody to respect the property and the other users. If you take good care of the house you don’t have to worry about the deposit. And if you do break something (it can happen, we are humans) I am sure you will be willing to help me fix things anyways so the deposit does not change the situation for all of us responsible travelers.
